I am glad to know that my comma problems put me in such excellent company. I blame his editor ;) Enjoyed!

You've got me roaring with laughter here... Dickens' editor! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha... Do you really think that poor shleppers like Dickens had editors at their beck and call? … Well, actually, who knows? Maybe they did! LOL. Thanks for the comment, P.S. :) gw

If so, Dickens achieved his objective: His bloody commas lay in tiny pieces in his slaughterhouse. LOL. Thanks for the view and your viewpoint, Sara. Best wishes, Gershon

A clever write Gershon, the comma's - seem to perplex some. It is said however, that the English language is the most difficult to learn - think of lambs - really, it should be spelt lams, but how is it that trams rhymes with lambs, some would use a comma , lamb's of sheep would need a comma - Enough said, its complicated! Loved your write. Hugs, Jennifer

I think that the rules of commas were a giant hoax, propagated by the very first English Teacher's Union. LOL. Thanks for the comment, Jennifer. Best wishes, Gershon

Yup. Dickens dispensed with commas almost altogether, and it didn't matter one iota, especially as his great novels' plots thickened. Thank you for the view and viewpoint, Anne-Lise.
