The Colorful Dance

Listen to poem:
Written: December 1st, 2023 _______________________________________ Colors waltz in a rainbow kaleidoscope cynosure of sun sparks steel drum teams Emerald elms embrace periwinkle sky among fragrant spikes of purple lupines. Monet and Van Gogh are arm-in-arm spin a diaphanous color wheel off charts starry night, yellow circumduct swirls over white water lilies on mirror ponds. Consider both humanity and nature emollient color splits and multiplies A flamenco actor will kick and clap Hot crimson ethereal feeling whirling flies. Gold and yellow dance to evocative music downpour is brought on by charcoal gray rain and brightness dance across earth awaking felicity from fugacious winter sleep. Akin to a roulette ball of a gossamer color gambling my emotional imbrication away winning when the ball stops in blue dancing sea and sky arouse my day.

I am left breathless by the beauty of your verse. Nature in her finest charms parade before our eyes. From your palette, flows rainbow colors. Along with Monet and Van Gogh, you too have created 'starry night skies and white water lilies on mirror ponds'. I get lost in the beauty of your poem. Into my FAVE.

I am breathless after reading your poem, dearest Sotto. Your vocabulary is rich and your poetic voice captivating. I especially liked the Monet and Van Gogh references. I've always been drawn to Monet. In fact, your words are soft and elegant, like one of Monet's paintings. I respect your love for nature. I especially liked the last two lines...dancing sea and sky arouse my day....what better way to start the day?! Have to fave this one....sending you my best, your poetess friend in Texas

This must be one of my fave poems by you again, I absolutely love the imagery and flow of your lines as well as the cadence of your colorful waltz. I especially love the opening lines here and “ Monet and Van Gogh are arm-in-arm” imagine that , what a soulful thought, “ rain and brightness dance across earthawaking felicity from fugacious winter sleep. “‘ mellifluous and serene dear Sotto, your love for nature can be felt through your lines. Absolute pleasure reading this; sending you light. FAV
