The Closer
It is the closer’s job to shut the door.
We don’t want the other team to score.
Relief pitchers take over where the starters depart.
When assuming this role, relievers need a lot of heart.
In the last inning, get them out one, two, three.
It feels so much better to leave town with a victory.
