The City of Insanity

In my city, people don't notice the children in abusive homes or living on the street. They only notice that their taxes are going up. In my city, people don't notice if teenagers are drinking, or doing drugs, or smoking cigarette. They only notice that it's taking longer for the weather to come on the news. In my city, people don't help the "dumber" kids become smarter. They only praise the smart kids. In my city, people don't notice the children who have to walk to school, rain or shine, windy or snowy. They only notice that the streets are being rebuilt. In my city, people don't care if you're having a bad day and don't want to go to work or school. They only notice that you're not there. In my city, people don't notice if you always order a black coffee at Starbucks. They only notice your wallet. In my city, people don't notice the kids who don't have food at their house. They only notice that their produce is spoiling in larger contents. In my city, no one notices when someone stops doing what is normal. They only notice when they die. In my city, no one notices the victims of cyberbullying. They only notice a drop in their bills. in my city, people don't notice individuals. They only see the stereotypes.
