The Choir Boy
Roots of a choirboy
and the mystery of his love for music,
in the life of being...
the fair one!
Does anyone have a clue...
what the fair one goes through?
Franz will tell you,
and what about Chopin?
Amadeus will answer...
beyond anyone's imagination.
Lend me your ears!
Do we ponder the value
of hearing the cello play,
with sweet contrast of a clarion call...
for a clarinet's serenade?
And why do we spend
endless hours...
learning the study of treating the notes,
as a mere gesture?
Oh, my fair one,
does thy tender care
listen...
to any sensitivity here?
And how did you sing
those high notes...
when you were, but,
a boy?
Franz will surely tell you.
Go to him, once again,
in time!
And will you sing again,
my fair one,
as youth disappears...
and the leaves of fall begin?
And will your spirit live on...
through endless time?
Keep the music close to your vest,
you are blessed, indeed!
