The Chapter Closes
The chapter closes
But the story endures
It's rather bittersweet
Chasing something
That never had potential
But always dreaming
Of something more
But perhaps a step back
To widen the view
To take in the whole canvas
A painting is beautiful
But a canvas is nothing
Without a painter
To fill it with vibrancy
And bursting with emotion
But too much emotion
Leads to a cacophony of colors
So slowly ease up
Wash away a little here and there
And the painting makes sense
It might just be beautiful
But just because your canvas
Isn't beautiful to one person
Doesn't mean someone else
Won't find it simply breathtaking
Don't waste time chasing
Someone who dislikes your canvas
Because that person is out there
Who will add paint to your canvas
And make it more radiant than the sun
So, yes, the chapter closes
But the story is far from over
