The Changing Sky - Contest
Stand still, look to the skies
every second the pattern changes,
watch the clouds sail past
being blown by the winds of time.
Colours change, from the dark
cloudless sky with stars atwinkling,
to a sky of clouds, wind making leaves
tumble and fall to the ground.
Morning breaks with a sky of red and orangy hues,
lighting up a warning to one and all,
dark rain clouds will soon be here
to dampen the ardour of any love bird.
Blue skies are shouting come outside
I am warm to your skin, will rejuvenate your soul,
I am life to all, come its fun to play ,
to run in the sun ,
until it sets, back, into its fiery hues.
Now close your eyes you will have
visions to hold in your minds eye
memories to savour all your life.
The ever changing sky.
