Both life and death meet together in time.” - Eric Overby The town cemetery is quiet and dark at night Most do not try to visit it unless it is daylight It’s rumored to be haunted with many ghosts there The moonlight illuminates the stones in a peaceful flair As tree leaves rustle in the warm breezy night air An old man then appears on the cemetery bench Smoking a cigar, as he is speaking in fluent French Big band music is now heard lightly in the wind tonight As a bride and groom appear dancing under the moonlight A group of civil war soldiers appear marching like war began A black cat then appears on the bench purring near the man He cries in joy as he sees his beloved departed cat Stan It’s dawn as the sun is starting to rise over the cemetery grounds It appears empty, not a soul is in sight or any strange sounds
