The Caves of Jupiter Part 2
The Caves of Jupiter
Part II.
But each one who layed with King Daeth also multiplied
the need of the king,
and King Daeth did say unto his physician,
the same who was blinded by the kings knife,
"...give unto me that which makes me strong
so that I may partake that which I desire
both night and day, and grow not weary.
Yea though I have not need of sleep
either by day or by night,
my spirit grows weak and my desire is consumed."
And he did say unto the maidens each unto their own time,
"...you shall be with child as I so wish..."
and they did submit for such was the will of King Daeth
or they be cast into debtors pit along with the poor
where they would die.
And then there did come a prince,
one who had been cast out by the evil of the king,
for King Daeth did say unto his own mind,
"...yea, is not my very own son Dariux with great beauty?
Surely he shall want all that is mine one day..."
and so the king did mark the head of Dariux
and yea did mark it where he had been shaved
and then tied his hair into a knot.
And the king did say unto Dariux, get you into the court
where you can number the maidens that cometh
for they are of great number.
And the king did prepare a timber for Dariux' knot
so that when the numbering of the maidens
would come to an end,
then the kings men could but undo the knot
and hang the prince, yea with his very own hair.
And when the prince did come to count the maidens
he saw of what great beauty the land was made of
and he did let his tears flow out from his eyes
for he knew what evil they were coming to.
And there was sent out from the hills
of Shoroz, whence did live Carlos;
descended from the self destruction
of the hyper-race;
his very own daughter,
that who was called Mayla after the name
of her very own mother.
And Mayla did have great knowledge
but she did carry the sword of Jidean at her side.
Now when Mayla did leave
to join the numbers of the maidens,
Carlos did say unto her,
surely you must remember the covenant from the past,
that which was come even from my own fathers
fathers of twenty and seven generations,
the same who was able to deliver our ancesters
from the wrath of the hyper-race,
they having binded the whole of all peoples
upon the face of the Earth and Jupiter,
and even to the edges of the universe,
and layed them together into the cyberspace!
By bits and bytes they did conquer
and lay to waste all that was great and good
in the universe.
Did these plain faced people not betray
us all?"
And he did say further
unto Mayla, his only begotten daughter,
"Yea, even though they did destroy
all on the face of the earth and in its path
and within the satelites above,
whatever force there might have been
did save the seed
for just such a time as this day.
