The Cauldron’s Call

i dived into the cauldron of magic potion silver steam curled, the stars grew bright swallowed whole by a swirling ocean of whispers, wonders, endless light my bones dissolved, my name untied unraveled threads of who i’d been the past was dust, the future wide a thousand selves danced deep within golden flames licked at my skin turning sorrow into song each breath became a voice of wind calling me where i belong the cauldron sang, the world stood still i rose anew with ancient sight woven of shadow, flame, and will a being of dawn, of death, of night
