The Cats Tail
In answer to (but not contest) "Please Pull Up A Chair"
By are own Becca Teagan
I just couldn't resist have fun with this myself
If you haven't yet, Please consider entering My Seuss style contest.
No, no, no this never will do
I can't pull up a chair
And just sit here with you
There's patrons around us
It's quite plain to see
They're waiting to order
I'm sure you'll agree
I'm not just "Top Waiter"
Here at "The Hat"
I'm actually everyone else
In the staff
But, I have a clever
And novel idea
I will find someone handy
To takeover here
In fact if you're willing
And know cheddar from brie
I'm sure you'll do find
Filling in here for me
Here is my apron
It fits like a charm
And please don't forget
This towel, for your arm
I think I will start
With some moodberry wine
There's a bottle out back
With a sign that says "MINE"
Or better yet, since you're
Paying for this
I'll take a fine vintage
From the top, of the list
And a tray of weepopits
All tucked in their shells
The appetizer, I'm sure
Sure would go well
"What's that you say
Please say it again,"
You don't want, me to sit
You don't want, to fill in
You don't want me to spend
Some time off of my feet
You only came here
Cause you wanted to eat
Well that is just find
My find feathered friend
Just don't ask me to sit
At your table again.
