The Burden is Light I go to your house, and make tea. Talk to me. I clean your dishes. I mop the floor. I start dinner. I am here. My life, it has things wrong. Yet, it is you, you that is suffering. I see that. So I lift the weight… all of it… as I can carry, to share what it is, that I can. There is nothing more, I can do… to shift my load. I am tired. Yet I can see, that by helping you, I am helping me. Together, the load… has no weight, at all.

You have a natural way of writing..... The title has a very deep meaning. Well , I remember scribbling something in my earlier days called " The burden of light '..well that was something absolutely different though. Really searched but couldn't find it. Keep on writing Ann , it's really great.

I have been underwater, and found that swimming to help a friend, somehow...helped me not only swim, but beat the sharks to the shore. It was amazing... and it happened (s) all the time. Ty for stopping by. Love to read your poem if you find it. Have the very best day. Ann
