The Broken Mirror

Tears poured out in crimson torrents, Painting her skin as red wine, pain pierced her gentle armor, And her heart bled within. Her life was a joyous melody, Shining bright, a shooting star, But now a shattered chalice lay, In pieces scattered near and far. The tears that fell, a silent story, A flowing river of sadness, Her heart beats on in weary chorus, While hope is nowhere to be found. Then a glimmer of light pierced the darkness, And hope began to grow, the rain of sorrow turned to mist, And her spirit started to flow. Her strength began to rise again, And the pain started to fade, her shattered pieces came together, A beautiful mosaic made.
