The brightly-coloured birds

Hurriedly they flew into the bright sky Their feathers glowing underneath the sun And with their sweet songs The animals all lay awoken by their voices. As the day draws to an end They pick up their harvest And store them in their nests. They cuddle their little ones With feathers that can brighten up the night. They sleep peacefully and soundly In the memories of their morning tunes Oh what a lovely sight to see These brightly-coloured birds In their coat of many colours.
