The Brightest Star
Mom,
I always thought
you would be there to help me
shop for a prom dress,
get ready for graduation,
plan my wedding,
or raise my own children.
So, now that you're gone,
I look up at the stars.
I realize you are
The brightest star
and you're still always there
to guide me.
