The Book of Dreams Come True

It was at my door when I awoke : UPS no Stamp, no address, No Signatures
I bent my old body and picked up a Book “Darn, Left my glasses Inside
I turn to go in trip on the Newspaper “Sh_ _” Terasa get daddy the paper
I set the Book down : Pour a cup of coffee ; “Such a GOOD Girl” Let’s read
The Red Sox beat up on B.C. It’s only Spring Exhibition Games; But : MAYBE
Out of the corner of my eye, a GOLDEN Light in Emulation of a HALO
Coming From the Center of the Black Book , I pick it up and see the Title
Alluring, as the first Daffodil peeks, with a smile, between her Sun-colored Cheeks
The Book of DREAMS Come TRUE ; No Author, no Forward , no Dedication
I open to page 1 “what the - - - “ Nothing on it and there’s only 1 page Wait, WAIT
There’s a note :” Do You want to enter this Dream? TOUCH Here A picture is forming
A Princess Cruise Ship; no wait THE Princess Cruise ship I was Married on ; LENORE
I SEE LENORE ( I touch” TOUCH Here”) as I am Vacuumed into the page of Reality
I still have my Tux on ; I check my nine year old TIMEX 7:20 P.M. “Excuse me “Dad”
Lenore, my Glorious Bride, my Forever Beside, when are we going to excuse Ourselves
Right Now “ Mom, Dad, Family and Friends Thank-You for Your Warm Gifts Harry and I
Will retire Now ; she extends Her hand; I Loving hold it as we Run to our Suite
Sunday August 26, 1971 - 8:00 A.M. I awake to the aroma of Sausage and Eggs
The Most Glorious site, the Warm Glow surrounding My Most Only Beloved Wife “Lenore”
Is It Remnants from the Warm Glow For which SHE has Given Me As I LIVE my Dream
“Terasa, Such a Good Girl” -- “Close the Book for Daddy”

Oh, HG. This is how you hoped your honeymoon would be. How sad this dream did not come true. Wishing more dreams will come your way, dreams that will be fulfilled. A great entry for the contest! Love, Carolyn
