The Blue Jay

Magnificent hue...

The blue jay runs through the leaves

         Drawing every eye.

Among the green leaves

His wings shine like a beacon

       In vivid azure.

His blue wings flutter

As he flits from branch to branch

     .....His plumage so bright.

I'm not at all bored tonight. I like to read quality work, and that's just what I've been doing. This is another fine set of haiku. I know you are not describing the Toronto baseball team here.

The blue jays do have a striking beauty, Francine. Apparently they can also be quite aggressive as I've seen them chase other birds. I love the way you describe them in your haiku series. Great work! Love, Carolyn
