Yesterday I acquired another bird.
She's such an inquisitive girl.
She woke me up at six a.m.
With her feathers all unfurled.

She flapped all around her cage
Scaring poor Moses to death.
Moses likes his sleep, don't you know,
In the morning he's not his best.

Other than the flapping episode,
(I think she needs a night light)
The two of them have hit it off really well.
I don't forsee any fights.

She is a bright blue budgie
With violet markings on her face.
I didn't intend to buy another budgie
But of course, that wasn't the case.

My intent was to buy a canary,
A mate for my "Kermit the Green",
But I was attracted to this colourful girl,
The most vivid blue I've ever seen.

So Moses and Kermit both got roommates.
Beautiful girls, the two.
One is for breeding, one's just because
And I'm calling her my "Baby Blue".

A Blue Bottom Gooh Bear

A Gooh Bear who now is a blue bottom bear

sat on a wet painted bench eating his honey.

When he got up from the bench, "he had a

blue bottom!"

"The blue bottom Gooh Bear is my friend no

matter if he has a blue bottom!"

Magnificent hue...

The blue jay runs through the leaves

         Drawing every eye.

Among the green leaves

His wings shine like a beacon

       In vivid azure.

His blue wings flutter

As he flits from branch to branch

     .....His plumage so bright.
