The Blessing of Sunshine
As sun shines splendidly in April sky,
and lights our pathway brightly through the day,
and warms our spirit, leaves us feeling high;
it gives us hope that ardor here will stay.
And flowers lift their faces for his light
while seeking radiance in hopes to grow,
and to their nectar circle bees in flight,
and butterflies do flutter by so slow.
But what If sudden darkness swept the land,
and sun no longer brightened up the sky?
The lifeless world would be like desert sand;
a barren waste, devoid of life - bone dry.
The sun’s a blessing given from above;
each day we should be thankful for His love.
