The Blank Page
Before the grandeur
When it was so much easier to folly
Life before we knew it
Was simple and plain
From those who were not afraid
To scratch on stone walls
To strike quill on scrolls
Or define a paper 8 by 10
To share the fondness of artists before
Success will to break my fall
Or else I will die of shame
And the ground will never take me
