The Better Me I See

The better me I see She's special indeed She's a child of God's She stands strong and tall Confidence is her garment of choice Trusting God day by day The better me I see She's stubborn as can be Holding strong to the promises of God And the dreams and visions He's given to her Through trials and tribulations she survives Her faith still in tact No longer a mustard seed A large plant is in its place She's adorned in His promises Draped in His amazing love Showered in His grace and mercy She’s blessed and highly favored The better me I see She's a virtuous woman indeed Unaffected by her circumstances She holds her head up high and sticks out her chest As she goes round for round Refusing to be knocked out She keeps getting up Over and over again Standing strong in God's strength You can't count her out, she's in The better me I see She's a champion Her Personal Trainer, Jesus Christ, Himself

This was a very nice read. I think this is very inspirational. Very well written Sonnier! I do have a confusion on your third line with the pluralizing of "God," what is the need? Makes me think you believe in other Gods; changes the perspective as a reader a little. However, I do love the message throughout this poem, very impressive. I hope this goes far. :) Sidenote: my apologies if you think I am criticizing. -AA

No need to apologize... God isn't plural... There's an apostrophe... Be blessed!!! Rule 1a. Use the apostrophe to show possession. To show possession with a singular noun, add an apostrophe plus the letter s.
