The Bet
You're betting me
and I'm betting you
I say we're done
you say we're through
It's a good bet
that we both will lose
Cause you're in love with me
and I'm in love with you
We go through this
every now and then
You say that's it
and I say Amen
You've had enough
I say we're done
But then remember that
we're both in love
When throwing stuff
we duck and run
As our holding glue
daily comes undone
But thank you very much
we patch it up
All because
we're both in love
So place your bet
and I'll place mine too
That we're not done
no, we're not through
Being a good bet
that we two won't lose
Cause you're in love with me
and I'm in love with you
