The Awareness of Knowing

I know what it’s like
To suffer in silence
I know what it’s like
To feel unstoppable violence
I know what it’s like
To feel so very alone
I know what it’s like
To lose all that I own
I know what it’s like
To have true love go wrong
I know what it’s like
To feel weak and not strong
I know what it’s like
To feel hateful inside
I know what it’s like
To choke on swallowed pride
I know what it’s like
To suffer addiction
I know what it’s like
To suffer affliction
I know what it’s like
To feel broken and empty
I know what it’s like
To feel jealousy and envy
I know what it’s like
To feel a lovers tender kiss
I know what it’s like
To love all those I miss
 I know what it’s like
To know all that I know
But the one thing I don’t know
Is know how to let go
