The Awakening
The awakening
If I sail the seven seas
Traverse the corners of the globe
In search of gods to appease
And even wear the saffron robe
If I put trust in mortal men
That lay claim to powers of healing
Some may come even as priests of Zen
Yet, their prayers never go beyond your ceiling
If I relocate my abode to the mountain top
That I may be closer to heaven
Barren of all livestock and food crop
I may live only for a day, two or seven
If yet, I can sail the seas
Or to the mountain top, run
Why not in prayer, fall on my knees
And with the Lord, have some fun?
So, arise oh my soul
And cry out to mount Zion
That again, I may be whole
And regain the strength of a lion
