The Angst of a Want-To-Be Poet

The Angst of a Want-To-Be Poet The pain of angst, demands release The bumps on my arms of loneliness The winds outside are getting stronger As winter peeks around the bend I read the words of other poems I can feel their satisfaction It may not take their pain away But to share it, keeps them sane Maybe I, have been too shallow To understand my weighted soul Am I naive or too cliché The throbbing behind my eyes If only I could get some sleep Another day will soon begin Another layer in my confusion Oh, will I ever be Oh, could I ever be © 2017 Jeffrey Spencer
