The Angelic Million

Let my nights be Defined the fifth element To the point were Raphael's angels Seep out through their painted skin So many of them Not knowing where the last one begins As they breathe the breath of life Once more From the painting within It's majestic frame Upon the wall As each night they proclaim The call of the angelic million They steal me from my sleep And carry me away From the moment the stars slumber To the waking day And cast me into Heaven's branches Alongside where you lay Such beautiful slumber Taints your face As I kiss Your solemn lips To see the revolting envy Of the angelic million And the angels see the love that we share And become angry that I love not their beauty And cast me back into my bed And force the sun back to it's duty As every day becomes my torture To have the nervous knowledge That I will hear them once again The call of the angelic million And as everynight their memories erase As they forget their envy Of our unknowing embrace But every night turns into the last And their trembling anger repeats Not knowing how many times we've surpassed Always awaking me to their defeat And every night begins my torture To have the terrified knowledge That I will meet them once again The coming of the angelic million.
