The Amazing Nala

She hides under the bed
    Or under the blanket
Or even pounces in front of you
    When you least expect it.

Her left eye winks
    When she understands
What you are saying,
    Even when you don’t
Feel so good.

She sits with her paws
    Underneath her
As she listens
    She becomes very observant.

She chases the plastic white milk top
    Across the hardwood floor
Like skating on ice
    Just like a professional.

While rubbing her soft white tummy
With all fours in the air,
She is in total ecstasy;
Her nose points towards the sky
And purrs and purrs!

She jumps in the air
    Like an acrobat,
Across the bed,
    Only to twirl
In front of everyone
    And gives a great show!
