The Adrian Dorr
You have heard of tales 'bout giant white whales
And squids with arms longer than oars
But there's just no fright, like the site, in the night
Of the ship named the Adrian Dorr
The tale as it goes, whether true, no one knows
When a Mate catches site of that ship
She snatches his soul, as she adds to her crew
'fore, a word can escape from his lips
It was late one night, with the Captain on deck
Where I've seen him pacing before
While he stared out at sea, never looking at me
Sent shivers right down to my core
There was something He knew, the others did not
And I didn't quite "get it" before
But we'd just passed through, the place, that He knew
Sailed the ship, called the Adrian Dorr
It was just such a night, when She met with Her plight
While the clouds, played tag in the sky
The fog rolling in, one could hear it begin
That eerie moaning and sigh
She ran up on rocks, or so was the talk
With no one, reaching the shore
Although Captain and crew, well seasoned , it's true
All sank with the Adrian Dorr
Then a chill racked my spine, And I froze where I stood
As I saw Her main mast, pierce the fog
In a blink of an eye, I was waving "Good Bye"
From the deck, of The Adrian Dorr
