The Adoption of a Friend

The Adoption of a Friend Written: by Tom Wright January 2014 From obedience to God’s great commission, He allowed the tiniest of seed to be sown. For years I imagined this seed as waste, Perhaps it had just fallen, upon a stone? Or maybe perished from lack of moisture, While I spent time seeking, for her, God’s best. That this seed wasn’t swallowed by some crack, All the time believing God could do the rest; But since that unplanned day long years ago, That diminutive seed has genuinely grown. A friendship, that time had frozen, has passed, And evolved into a kinship, for me, full blown; Each time we plant any seed, and expect a harvest, We unknowingly are expressing our faith in God. Tom
