The Abnormal Divide
I heard it was hard
For you to see merit
In things that fell off
While you'd felt weak
What had happened
Has become the past
Who could have judged
The hold it would have
Especially from inside
Doubt ravaged moments
But what was left behind
That thing that endured
And now spun and blurred
On a younger thought
That matured like a spirit
Absorbing smoked wood
To be savoured later
With notes once sung
The reflections hold true
When you stared upward
Just past a Virginian ridge
Through the stone arch
Of a natural bridge
