That Pearl of a Moon
Listen to poem:
That pearl of a moon shines down
The same moon that as silhouetted so many sweet embraces.
The one the wolves cry to when the light as faded
The one that is echoed on the surface of a thousand lakes
creating the reflection of a pearl necklace shining back at itself.
causing the highest of tides and drained sea less harbours
Sailors wives awaiting their husbands return.
But it's always been there when no one else will listen
something to look up to when you are in deepest despair
a shining light when all you can see is darkness.
A silent witness to tears of sadness or of a first kiss
if only the moon could talk , such drama
shine on you precious pearl of a moon
shine on .
