That Pain Needed To Happen
That disruption of normal was necessary
To make us who we are today
For us to see with the eyes of wisdom
For us to arrive with the tiptoes of understanding
It never needed a cheetah , we more needed a tortoise
Time was a crucial commodity
Otherwise we would still be in a pit somewhere
The claws would still be on
The stomping would still be loud
Here we are, in our most naked
Am glad you betrayed me as a close friend
You have learned some lessons
And I have had some growing up to do
This life has taught us some humbling virtues
There is listening
There is acceptance
There is forgiveness
And there is chances
Like my pastor said this week
"So we could know how how to correct whatever went wrong
So we can make it right
So that mistake would not happen again"
