That House

I walk and stop at closed door,
And wonder what is behind it.
I walk through opened door,
And interact with what's inside.

That house is empty,
But I feel no emptiness.
I notice such strong walls,
And feel shielded, protected,
And secure in body and soul.

Above, there's a 9 foot ceiling
and a roof above my head for
Which I am grateful to be
Enclosed from sunny hot rays
And the wind-driven heavy rains.

No. Those strong beams of the roof
Are not cedar, and the rafters are not
Pine like King Solomon's, but again
I say, I am grateful for That House.
