Just spent two days in Manhattan. Not one American wished me Happy Chanukah, despite --- or perhaps because of --- the yarmulke perched on top of my head. Oh, well. Happy Holidays!

~ Melody:  On Top of Old Smokey ~

       In downtown Manhattan
          Women wearing mink fur
       Are happy to wish you
          Happy Holiday, sir

       They'll say Merry Christmas
          From all of us
       But not Happy Chanukah
          They'd rather not fuss                     i

It certainly was disappointing. I even mentioned to a few NYC merchants that they could say 'Happy Chanukah' to me. They refused to do so, with daggers in their eyes. Chicago seems a bit friendlier to me now! Happy Holidays! Thanks, gw

Hannukah Sameach! Gershon, my friend, people don't even want to hear or say Merry Christmas That's been outlawed in stores for years or in phone sales. I hate it. New York? The heart of the new avant gard liberalism. Jews and Christiand try to live by some code of law. NY even beats up on NYPD. Israel lives under attack as you know. If you love nature, as God,you are safe and acceptable. Jews and Christians are despised. Panagiota Panagiota
