It’s that feeling that comes thundering through All weighted down with inspiration and truth, Blowing on the winds of lasting grace, serenity Faith that comes to those who hear the music Abiding on the rainfall’s melody, Songs so alive, discovered in the silence Of a softly falling snow, Rhythm of light, blinding the dark, When autumn’s leaves begin to cause such a turmoil, Rustling, swirling, dancing like the dandelion seeds, gasping most alive when their colors race the wind, When they race the wind… It’s the feeling of a puffing sigh, Harmonizing with the wonders that send Hearts and souls to the mountains and seas, To the ends of those rainbows Where only time will reveal the perfect, That pot of gold, where a heart embraces silence, Listening to God’s voice on the haunted nights When stars glisten intently, bleeding Life through the gray windows of a past A past that did not last – a past that was cast Into the abyss of shame that agrees, Time in His presence is time meant to convince, To convict and transform, create a light A glow so sure and sensitive, a glow of hope A glow that knows He is the light that succeeds In bringing life to those who believe! It’s the feeling that denies fear and grief, Remembering the sweetness of His comforting, Songs to lift the shadows so light seeps in, From the moments aglow with faith, with hope, With the love that brings light to the soul, With the grace that brings life to the home, With the God who brings sight to the blind, With the Son who brings pardon for the crime, With the blessing of eternity to find… Those feelings that bleed through the holes in a life Are the feelings that mingle with hope and insight, The same feelings that remember – through all the wrong and right, There is One who knows how to comfort and inspire, There is One who can silence the roar of the storm, There is One who can help when it all comes undone. That One is the Creator, the Giver, the true Light, The Reason I believe and the Reason I can see… Past the darkness, past the fear, past the ache in each tear, Past the seasons of despair and dread, Past the reasons I have for forgetting He is near And HE hears – when I pray, when I praise, when I yearn He hears the worst I am and He remembers me when I’m hurt He brings me the sweetest peace and He lifts all my gloom, So that I can see… when all is said and done, He’s the feeling that shines love through me. He’s the feeling that sings everlasting peace. He’s the feeling that is more than emotion. He’s the feeling that leaves a lasting impression… Without Him, I’d never know the perfection That comes to the soul who He makes whole, The soul who believes He is the love I’ll know Throughout life, through dark and light, through wrong and right… The reason I can fight, without fear of giving in to the darkest sin, Without fear of letting go of the love that grows and grows Because He lives in me, the light glowing, dazzling, showing That love is the reason my heart is overflowing… Love is God’s light, growing a garden filled with life, A garden of glorious fruit… Galatians 5:22-23 KJV But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Well done. A better definition than most if not all. A definition that links to tangible things that are part the natural world around us if we open our eyes. For me flowers and sunshine on my shoulders that push the darkness back where it belongs. It is these things that are always there to bring hope and joy at crucial times. Of course we need to understand need to seek and ask. In the modern world there is perception that everything will come to us without effort on our part. Regards David
