That Fire
The moonlight glow is flattering alone.
The sunlight is the one that burns for me to atone.
The path is paved with blood and bone.
Not just those that came from others,
But the ones that count toward the graves of a mother.
How many turn to God when they feel so very lost?
So where is He in the prayers you gave?
God isn’t the one that truly sent them to their grave.
Choices are made and not always wise.
She really needs to reign in that fire inside.
Will she?
Absolutely not.
Will she continue to grow
Even when she fakes the show?
That is a dumb question
Or she would’ve already given up.
She shines in any light
And the glow she casts is true and has a great might.
Damn it man,
Everyone else already knew.
What did they know but the price her trust was on the block to go?
They have no clue the person she is.
Her aura is as bright as the moon and the sun.
She is a strong adversary against those end up stunned.
When they see her hair as a fire to the soul,
They finally understand she won’t be controlled.
I wish those that want to put me in those restraints
Would understand that I am not a game.
Not one you will actually win,
But I allow you to take me for a spin.
It gives you false hope of a security unheard of.
You think I need you?
You couldn’t be more wrong.
The game I am playing with you
Is not for your amusement.
Its for the truth of who I have always been.
Meeting me and turning your mirror to the side,
You have no idea what I know you hide.
