THANKSGIVING The time that the Pilgrims arrived A wonder that any survived Being fed by a Native Yet still contemplative Gave thanks for a feast so contrived But their gratitude didn’t last very long As fighting broke out, they knew it was wrong By Spring some were living So it triggered thanksgiving In a land where they hoped they’d belong
