Thanksgiving
THANKSGIVING
The time that the Pilgrims arrived
A wonder that any survived
Being fed by a Native
Yet still contemplative
Gave thanks for a feast so contrived
But their gratitude didn’t last very long
As fighting broke out, they knew it was wrong
By Spring some were living
So it triggered thanksgiving
In a land where they hoped they’d belong
