Thank You, God

Turkey roasted golden brown
Gravy on the side
Family at the table
Johnny, close your eyes
Pa asks the blessing
Give thanks to
God!

I'm thankful for my salvation

Thanks for supporting Tony and I in our collaborative cooking contest! We certainly are not the Poetry Food Network, but we sure know how to tell what is a great dish! Now, tell lil Johnny to behave during prayer next year..or he may not have second helpings! The rhyme scheme was energetic and the overall tone was spiritual...I believe this entry captured this essence the most. Best wishes for you in your very first PS contest. It's time to get your wife on board as an asst judge. You are such an inspiration, Curtis. Luv, Gwendolen
