Tether Lines

So deep the loss...loss different than any of those others’.* Others can’t help but hear my cries, cries of help. So deep the sorrow...sorrow keeps the lump in my heart, heart of despair. The one I need most to hear...hear me she never quit, until her time was up. Up, I look for help. Down I read the tether lines, lines upon pages in books. Books written by varied authors. Authors — I glean from their advice...advice with stories of suffering, suffering taken to the cross, nailed through feet and hands. Hands fold. He patiently, lovingly, mercifully listens to me. 6/3/2021 *Or so it seems

Your fine poem resonated with me, Kim. I still grieve for my mother, whom I lost in 2015. Jesus has also been for me, a constant and comforting presence. Blessings, Evelyn

Thank you for your condolences. I can say from experience that you will feel better with the passage of time. What they say of time is true-it is a great healer. <3 Evelyn

So sorry for your loss. Being only a couple months I still feel numb. Seeing the grief on my Dad’s face the hardest. Jesus is indeed comforting. God bless you, Evelyn.

Very effective, powerful technique, my friend -- of repeating the word at the e/o/each line. :) gw

Fortunately/unfortunately poets feel things deeply. Loss is great in our hearts. We are strong -- having much faith in Divine Spirit -- so we press on as good soldiers. But, some deep holes in my heart have never healed. Great write! You say it poetically, perfectly. A Fav!
