Testing Times
Day comes too soon
Night runs away --
Dreamy visions cease
Influenza bout
Drowsy knockout;
Stuffy coarse throat
No matter what
Day ushers gifts:
Appetite craves more
Blurry eyes
Confront light rays;
Brightness irritates
Groggy and sore
Headache galore;
Do I need more?
Two sparrows stand
Balcony rail outburst;
A Valentine's song
Word-pulse in waves
Electronic beams;
Cyber poetry
Deliver me
From harsh refrain;
Conflict sits in
Testing times
In body aches;
Weak wobbly feet
I craft thoughts
Plot verse message;
Spur of the moment
Doing time here
For misdemeanor;
Pain excavates
