Telling me This

Telling me this, telling me that,
Telling me why, telling me how.
Telling me who, over and over,
Tell me again
I still won’t listen.

Preaching your truth, claiming it’s fact,
Forcing your view, demanding I act.
Pointing your fingers, pulling my strings,
But I won’t bow I’ve cut those things.

Echo your words, drill them in,
Hope that they break me, make me give in.
But I walk my path, I choose my way,
No matter the noise, I won’t obey.
