Tell Me--What Would You Do
Do you feel empathy?
Can you sympathize?
Then pay it forward..
Here is the question..
Will you do your best?
When confronted with..
The Ultimate test.
What would you do..
if she couldn't pay?
Would you reach in your pocket
..and make her day?
What if he was hungry..
Would you share your lunch?
Make a new friend..
Now you both can munch.
Now think about when..
you needed a hug.
Would you open up your arms..
instead of being a thug.
How many times..
will you pass her by?
Without asking if she's okay.
Can't look in her eye.
She is homeless and dirty
and needs some aid.
Or will you walk right by..
let the memory fade.
What if it was YOU..
and you cried out.
No one would listen..
Filled with doubt.
Empathy begins..
when you can understand..
How a person feels..
Then feelings expand.
Take a look around you..
Offer your love.
Do what is right..
your so worthy of.
