Tell me the truth, yet you must state it straight
The reality of punctilious twisting within the tale
Our life is often how it should be, sans fail
Here, we're poised, we're enacting great
Do you recall telling you the truth every time?
Oh, what a feeling! Nothing got in the way
If you don't cut your wrist, I heard you say
If there's an issue, tell it like it is. It is sublime
Tell me how it is, what breaks your heart?
What is it that keeps you up at night?
What gets you to break down and fight?
Never turn back on the world or apart
Say you will ne'er play to stop beats in the chest
Say you'll never moot evil here, and overlook it
Say you'll tell it how it is for us to raise or admit
Tell it as it is, what burns your heart, ache to rest
Just what is it that keeps you up at night?
How do you feel rage and sadness?
inspiring a desire to weep and frankness
Then, I wish you'd never shut down your sight.
Do the best and be shamed; let a moral guide
You might be present now and gone tomorrow
It is not worth the effort of walking in sorrow
I secern you love me, so beat your dull pride.
You should probably obtain what you desire
Tell it like it is. I'm not a toy to play with. Find one!
My time is too valuable and I am not your little man
So live your life, darling, live your life away from fire.
