Telescope

I
James Webb - wise investment by USA
After Hubble's wonders, now light
Billions of years, perhaps since Big Bang
Seen by humans; J. Biden's pride
In America's foresight, help folk, help science
When most nations notoriously lack basics
But not for want of money, mandacity there
Prayers here don't make muster (loadshedding)
But I'm grateful for Pics yet to be seen
I heard tidbits on the radio, long-expected blessing
James Webb telescope (God smiles?) 'midst ancient light
II
The long-awaited Hubble successor, James Webb Telescope, is off & running. USAmericans have a right to smile ... Yes, recession, depression & race & political oppression are all about us, but we can AND MUST DO MORE THAN ONE HUMAN PROJECT AT A TIME. amen

I felt the same exhilaration you describe! This is a lovely tribute to a telescope that may teach us more about the origins of the universe than we have ever known since the beginning of humankind on Earth. Very nicely penned, Anil!
