Teen Earth Angel:Collaboration:Panagiota Romios and Beryl Edmonds Teen Earth Angel The warm, bubbling, thrills of my cherished first date So innocent, so sparkling soft, is the kind hand of fate Up at dawn to caress, my new shoes of patent leather My feet felt no floor, for I was a teen angel with feathers. My feathers took flight that first precious date night It truly turned out to be love at first sight. Still, after years of angelic married bliss I recall magic moments of our first kiss. In the very bottom drawer of my golden vanity An etched crystal box, sparkles as the sea. Petals of a rose corsage, worn on a once teen wrist. Scents, that make my cheeks, a gloriouus amethyst. Love for you is pure as the day it was born Though my feathers have become tattered and worn. At sound of your voice my heart accelerates It takes me back to that fantastic first date. *** Written - 28th February 2024

Hi Hilda! I agree ~~happimes is a wondrous part of the human experience! She read about it, heals the heart. But there are parts of poetry that help us focus in on life both parts that need healing.! to write about them to me as a total loss. My poems span the range of the human experience.. We all write very differently, and it should be that way. Thank you, Pangie

Oh, I am glad you enjoyed this, itwas great fun to dobut wasn not simp,e, the best part was gaining recognition from a famed author of 40 books of poetry. One of Beryllls lines he chose as outstanding. Cool! Nobody knows who wrote what line. So it takes the ego out of it. I really like that. Thank you for commenting, dearest friend Pangie xxxx

Love how you guys use the theme of feathers/floating with that first date. It carries the poem and has us flying with you! And it's good to hear that your feathers are still flapping, and though worn, maybe you don 't need to reach those earlier heights for joy.

Daniel_ Daniel this was a great adventure! Thank you for your analysis which is so complete and deep. I had no idea this would turn out that way.. the nice part is the writing and then the responses mean a lot to Beryl and I. . Love is a great healer of mankind. Both men and women remember their first dates I think.. it was a universal pain simply stated. You know one of my favorite poses EE Cummings! His poetry as the common man. No, five letter syllable words no trying to impress anybody it’s like he’s really talking to you. Even Margaret Frost writes that way. Short simply, and to the soothing point.. I always relate to simplicity and human heart and psyche! Thank you once again for your time and reading us. Pangie

Karen, how very nice to see you today. I’m sorry I’m late I’m commenting, if you have time, read my comments above to Beryl. She is a woman with great patience to put up with all my 12 wpm per minute typing, I was up all night, trying to get a letter back to her. so I am kind of exhausted today to say least, but I’m happy and exuberant. And you need to pet yourself on the back for comment to both places.. I am sure you’re one of the few. Me that you have a loving heart. I even wrote the best friends today here that haven’t responded. How do you think that makes me feel. Fine. Lol. ))) laughter is good.. true friends are better.
