Ted's Desire

Ted, suddenly, awakes in bed, With a desire to be with Meg. He tosses back his spread, Stand-up and feels brain-dead. He feels he must be fed, But thinks out loud, instead; My stomach can wait, he said, Yet, finds a piece of bread. Then grabs his cap that's red, And out the door he heads. He mounts upon his sled, And down the path he sped. He leaves, of course, no tread; With one desire in head, To be all alone with Meg. But first must force his legs, That feels like frozen lead; To parks his sled in the shed. Then finally be with Meg, The woman he plans to wed.
