Teasing Santa Claus

Hear Santa sneaking through your house.
It's him you think is squeaking.
With hips going thump on table sides
as clumsiness goes reeking.

When suddenly you hear the sound
of Santa's stepped on Murphy
That little kitten quick to cry
as Santa's sick with mercy.

When knowing that this clumsy elf
has climbed in through your chimney
With loving nod and flaccid boots
all sure to add to whimsy.

That smiling how it's all for kids
means going about your laughter.
When thinking back to all the times
you turned lights out for after.

I am reading this way after Christmas, but it is darling, and I have more time now. I am so glad I did not miss it!

Thanks Sara. It was my third attempt at a (funny) Santa poem. If Christmas hadn't have snuck up on me, I'd still be trying I think. LOL Thanks again for stopping by. Trevor
