Tears Upon the Stone
all is silent where the snow is filling in
willows weeping over the walkways that lead
white covered headstones bearing winters bark
the solemn grounds are vacant no visitors come by
no footprints are found but memories are kindled
flowers stems bending from layers of snow
who is there beneath the grave is unknown
the name is wrapped in winters blanket.
Bedded for the season till spring recovers
walls of stones become vivid surrounding those below
tranquility resting after they have traveled on
bless those souls that lie beneath the snow.
may all rest in peace, filled with joy in heaven
under those blankets a voice strains thru
Embracement felt to whom stands over
tears remove the blanket that covered the stone
