To weep the tears that never learn,
which cannot always heal concern
for things that are beyond control;
But- crumpled hearts they do console!
We cannot banish tears of grief;
to cry them often brings relief.
There is no switch to end their flow-
a plan to stop them- must forego.
Emotional distress brings tears
that may flow till the sadness clears.
No matter what the sorrow brings;
our crying bathes the hurt that stings.
Be thankful tears don't need to learn,
from the past memories that burn,
that they cannot reverse what's sad;
just be our soothing, healing pad.
