Tear Drops and New Years

The New Year boasts of new beginnings,
While Auld Lang Syne says farewell to the past.
Crossing over to a refreshing new start,
Yet holding on tight to recent life that's passed.

Dreaming in silence and wishing out loud,
For love to hold tight,
And life remain steady,
Clinging to memories of joys gone-by.

Nostalgia offers an exciting close to the year,
While ringing in hopes of future good times,
As the new year starts, and the old year ends,
Dreams become a reality and tear drops a fatality.

Reflecting and preserving our oldest friendships,
Coming together to recall joys and sorrows.
Blending old friends at midnight,
With future joys of new friendships bright.
